Art Nouveau Antique Silver Pin Dish
It is described as :
It is of a quatrefoil shape with a crimped wavy edge to the shallow sides. It has embossed winged infants in the base surrounded by long curved stems of leaves. The front of the dish has a matte finish where the underside has a shiny finish. It is made from a good gauge of silver and has clear hallmarks. Just under 5 inches long, just under 3.25 inches wide at its widest and 0.25 inch tall. It weighs 39g. It is in very good condition with just some light surface scratching, which is only to be expected on a metal item, but this is minor and commensurate with age and use. This really is a very pretty antique solid silver Art Nouveau pin dish, although it could also be used for storing small items of jewellery, trinkets, hair accessories etc. When not being used it does make a pretty display item. It will of course be of interest to any collectors of Art Nouveau pieces.
