Antique and vintage silver by its very nature has been previously used. Silver is a comparatively soft metal and a combination of many years use invariably leaves its mark. I do endeavour to describe all items accurately but do not expect any antique to be in "as new condition".

Antique Silver Shallow Oval Shape Dish

Antique Silver Shallow Oval Shape Dish which carries hallmarks for London 1900 with Silversmiths marks for Josiah Williams & Co - George Maudsley Jackson & David Landsborough Fullerton offered for sale by Silver2treasure.

Now you can purchase this delightful dish through the ebay picture link at the bottom of the page or you can purchase it direct for a discount of 10% from the Silver2treasure antique silver showcase.

It is oval in shape with a fluted pattern covering almost all of the surface which is the same on the front and the back and giving it a wavy rim. It has a plain oval central cartouche which is still blank, so it could be personalised. With my imagination I can describe it as leaf like, or the same shape as an eye with the pupil in the middle and the lines in the iris, but then again it could be likened to a petal (see what I mean by my imagination). Nonetheless it is a very pretty little dish and ideal for use as a good size pin dish, small bon bon dish, olive dish (or a very posh dish for disposing of the stones), little after dinner chocolates etc etc. It is made of a very good guage of silver and has clear hallmarks.
